Acupuncture
Acupuncture, when integrated into physiotherapy practice, offers a powerful therapeutic tool to support recovery and relieve pain.
By inserting fine needles into specific points on the body, physiotherapists can stimulate the nervous system, promote blood flow, and encourage the release of natural pain-relieving chemicals like endorphins. This approach is particularly effective for musculoskeletal conditions such as chronic back pain, tension headaches, and joint stiffness.
Beyond physical relief, acupuncture can also help reduce stress and improve sleep—enhancing overall wellbeing and supporting the body’s natural healing processes. When delivered by a trained physiotherapist, acupuncture becomes part of a holistic treatment plan tailored to each client’s needs, blending traditional techniques with modern rehabilitation strategies
Dry Needling
This is a modern physiotherapy technique used to treat musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction by targeting myofascial trigger points - those tight, tender knots in muscles that can limit movement and cause discomfort.
Improves circulation, nervous-system modulation, releases trigger points and is beneficial for athletes, office workers, chronic pain, post - injury rehab and headache sufferers, amongst many other conditions treated.
